Post Op Directions -
New Fillings - Cold Sensitivity

It is routine for the patient to have cold sensitivity after a new filling is placed. If you discover that cold sensitivity is present, just avoid drinking cold things or eating ice cream on the side with the new filling for about one week. As long as the sensitivity is slowly subsiding, the nerve is recovering from the procedure.  Cold sensitivity is generally a sign of a good tooth having a bad day.
