What is a root canal?
Each tooth has its own nerve and if this nerve dies a root canal is necessary. The object of a root canal is to remove the nerve of the tooth and then sterilize and fill the resulting space in the root of the tooth so that bacteria can no longer thrive.

Unless you are a patient of Dr. Landin's and have seen him very recently, this should not be construed as dental advice but only as information. Please consult your own dentist in regard to your personal situation or condition.
